Hosting Your Retreat at Flores
Flores del Camino retreat centre is a sanctuary for the soul, a hidden gem on an old pilgrims’ road - the Camino de Santiago.
As sacred craft practitioners, beauty and space matter to us. Everywhere you turn at Flores, you will see beauty: old wooden beams, ancient stone walls, stunning art works.
As experienced retreat leaders, we know what it takes to hold a group and so we handle all logistics so you can focus on what you do best.
Each retreat is unique, tailored to your needs. We host groups of 8–14 (including facilitators) for 7–12 days. We can also provide optional experiences for your group, such as site visits or a mini pilgrimage.
Location & Accommodation
You will be staying in one of the most beautiful villages in all of Spain as voted by National Geographic.
Castrillo de los Polvazares dates back from Celtic time through to the 16th century. The retreat centre, lovingly restored in recent years, maintains its traditional architecture.
Enjoy charming ensuite rooms at Flores, or at the nearby hotel (150m away) we work in partnership with.
Soak in stunning views overlooking the village, church and breathtaking rural landscape.
Food
We are deeply passionate about cooking and provide delicious and healthy meals, breakfast, lunch and dinner with fresh local ingredients served as buffets either in the dining area or in the courtyard under the pergola. Wine is handpicked and local. We cater for the following dietary requirements: vegetarian, gluten-free, carb-free. Prices for other more specialised diets may vary. Please consult us.
Breakfast: cereals, fresh fruit, yogurts, local honey, nuts, delicious local bread, various Spanish cheeses, jamón.
Lunch example: fresh gazpacho, fresh fish, various local home grown vegetables, olives, salad.
Dinner example: potatoes, grains, grilled chicken, various local grilled vegetables and selection of salads. Fruit or traditional local delicacies for dessert. Local wine.
Retreat Space
The retreat space includes:
A spacious room equipped with a large table, projector, flip chart, all necessary material for presentations and activities, a sofa area (this room can be adapted for yoga or other movement activities).
A kitchen / dining area with light refreshments at disposal all day (water, coffee, tea, snacks).
A large bathroom for use during activity times.
An atmospheric courtyard with several sitting areas shaded by a vine and fruit trees.
A large pergola suitable for workshops, activities, meals, chats, rest, any kind of group gathering.
Two adaptable artist studios decorated with beautiful art pieces, equipped for painting, carving, stained glass, yoga, any kind of group gathering.
In and around the village, several scenic quiet spots ideal for community meetings and exercises, for example yoga.

Add a 4 day Pilgrimage to the Valley of Silence
A mini pilgrimage can be a compelling retreat add-on, especially for those travelling from afar. A popular option is a 4 day Camino to the breathtaking Valley of Silence.
This will be your unique opportunity to walk along one of the most beautiful stretches of the Way. Walking is spacious allowing you to set your own pace and amount of walking.
A place of great awe and wonder, our alternative pilgrimage ending will be the Valley of Silence in the village of Peñalba - also considered one of the most beautiful in Spain. These sacred mountains have drawn hermits and monks since the 4th century.
