Pilgrims can either stay in a private ensuite room at Flores del Camino or, alternatively at the village albergue which we also look after. Email us to book private accommodation.
The cosy village albergue is made up of a dormitory of 8 beds @ 5 € with a pilgrim credencial. There is a small kitchen but no shop in our small village. The kitchen is stocked up with basic food supplies to make a meal. We offer a healthy and nourishing communal evening meal / breakfast by donation for all pilgrims. Meals are usually served at Flores del Camino and we sometimes offer an intention fire ritual.
For those needing a moment of reflection at this point in their journey we sometimes offer day retreats. Please email us in advance, or ask about availability when you arrive.
Please note that though Castrillo was on the original medieval Camino, today it is on an alternative 1km Camino route. The scenic path is very well marked on the way out of Castrillo but you need to take care coming in from Murias de Rechivaldo to avoid road walking. Follow the instructions below.
Just before leaving Murias de Rechivaldo by the Camino, turn right on Calle Nueva towards Murias Albergue municipal. At the Albergue cross the main road and turn left past Casa Flor on to the main road. After 200 m take the path on the right, that runs parallel with the road to avoid road walking. Castrillo straight ahead. Keys and reception for the albergue are at Flores del Camino - on the main street Calle Real 36.
